TRAILS PAC is about more than just trails. It’s vital that our community has a balanced mix of infrastructure - from safe roads and reliable transit to lively parks, thriving businesses, accessible paths, and welcoming public spaces that bring people together. We believe thoughtful investment in transportation, recreation, and agritourism strengthens the local economy, protects what makes Yamhill County special, and ensures our towns remain vibrant, connected, and welcoming for generations to come.

The TRAILS PAC mission is simple: We advocate for projects, policies, and local elected officials that make Yamhill County a better place to live, work, and visit. By strengthening transportation, recreation, and agritourism infrastructure, we help our towns grow more vibrant, more connected, and more economically resilient.
We’re neighbors who believe that safe roads, lively parks, thriving farms, and welcoming trails don’t just improve our quality of life - they secure our future. When farmers, families, and small business owners work together, we can build a county that works for everyone - today and for generations to come.
Our Priorities
Protecting Public Lands: Our parks, rivers, and open spaces are community treasures that belong to the people - They're not for sale. We’re committed to keeping them public, protected, and thriving.
Expanding Active Transportation: Sidewalks, crosswalks, bike lanes, and safe trails give people choices in how they get around. Investing in active transportation makes it easier - and safer - for kids to walk to school, families to enjoy the outdoors, and commuters to travel without relying on cars.
Connecting Communities with Transit: Expanding bus routes and shuttle service between towns, attractions, and job centers makes it easier to live, work, and explore within our county.
Modernizing Roads and Bridges: Many of Yamhill County’s roads and bridges are aging, crumbling, and in need of serious upgrades - including seismic retrofits to prepare for the future. Strong, safe infrastructure keeps families moving, supports local businesses, and ensures our county is resilient in the face of natural disasters.
Preserving Future Transportation Corridors: As our communities grow, it’s essential to safeguard the public corridors that connect them. Reserving key transportation routes for future mobility and recreation ensures that the county can meet tomorrow’s needs. These corridors are public assets that should remain in community hands - protecting them now means preserving the freedom to plan, build, and connect for generations to come.
